PermitChaser is operated by Business Business Business LLC, a Florida limited liability company. Our website is permitchaser.tech. You can reach us at info@permitchaser.tech.

2. What information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and a hashed password, collected when you sign up.
  • Payment information: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles all payment data under their own Privacy Policy.
  • Usage data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). We use this only for security and debugging.
  • Filter preferences: the permit type filters and minimum valuation you configure in your account.

3. What information we display (public record data)

PermitChaser displays building permit data sourced from Hillsborough County's public permit portal (HillsGovHub) and contractor contact information from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). This information is public record under Florida law. We do not collect this data from individuals — it is sourced entirely from government databases.

4. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To send you email digests matching your saved filter preferences.
  • To process payments through Stripe.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To monitor and improve the reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Email communications

We send transactional emails (account creation, digest delivery, billing notices) to the address you provide. You can pause or stop digest emails at any time from your dashboard. We do not send unsolicited marketing email.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account data deleted, email info@permitchaser.tech and we will delete it promptly. Permit data (public records) is retained indefinitely as part of our database.

Passwords are stored as salted hashes (ASP.NET Core Identity). Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store payment card information. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll note the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
